Reviews and Ratings
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean, though showing signs of wear and with some minor cleanliness issues in the bathroom. The staff were lovely, and the TV and bathroom facilities in the room were good. However, the occasional cobweb or hair in the bathroom was a bit off-putting.
I had a mixed experience at this historic coaching inn. The rooms were cozy with a large comfortable bed, but the initial one was smoky; thankfully, I got it swapped for another with a courtesy drinks tray. The service was pleasant with a nice touch of a welcome drink. The location, although ideal for my visit, had a lively pub atmosphere with blaring TVs. The dining experience, with a slim variety at breakfast and some chaos, could have been better. Overall, a stay with ups and downs.
I was thrilled with the hotel's location, so close to all amenities and the charming village center. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming, making my stay truly worth it. However, I did find it a bit far from Reading town center.
